According to Aeromagazine, the Russian company Aeroflot will get rid of its entire fleet of Boeing aircraft by the year 2026.
The determination would be in alignment with the guidelines of the central government of that country. Along with their strategic ally, China, the duo has been engaging in growing political, economic and military rivalry with the American nation and its allies, in an apparent reissue of the outmoded 20th century cold war.
The Russian and Sino-Russian models will be integrated into the fleet in large quantities, the plan foresees.
With this it is expected that a large fleet of Sukohi Super Jet 100 and the brand new MC-21 will be produced and enter operations in that country in the coming years.
The country has high expectations for these jets and will possibly use them to explore not only its domestic market, but also as export options. According to Aeromagazine, the primary markets would be Africa, Latin America and Asia. However, depending on the virtues of the new Russian ships, it does not seem ruled out that other markets would like to acquire them.
These aircraft are suitable for the regional markets (case of the SSJ100) and domestic market - case of the MC21-300, this relatively equivalent to the A-320 or Boeing 737 Max.
If this plan is successful, it will lead the company to integrate around 200 planes into its fleet, expanding the fleet from 360 to 520 planes, always according to the source.
The counterpart is the complete withdrawal of Boeing models from its fleet, which appears to be a clear retaliation for the current and terrible diplomatic environment between the Western superpower and its Asian counterparts.
However the disposal of the Boeings will not be so complete. Aeroflot has subsidiaries that are expected to receive at least part of these aircraft. Podeba should have the 737 models and Rossya Airlines with the 777 wide bodies.
It is possible that the SRA-Russian wide body model CRAIC CR929 is also in the company's plans, after all this model would be the rival comparable to the company's current 777.
For now it is expected that the company, within this expansion plan, will operate only the SSJ100, The MC-21 and possibly Airbus models, such as the modern A350.
