Skydiver who flew side by side with Emirates A380 dies

The pioneering French parachutist Vincent Jeffet died in Dubai, world famous for the spectacular images recorded in flight side by side with an Emirates A380.

The death occurred in tragic circumstances, during the execution of a training for another of the Frenchman's spectacular flights. The fact was disclosed by a spokesman and occurred on 17 November.

The most famous feat of the intrepid parachutist was the double flight, along with the also parachutist and also pioneer Yves Rossy, French, in formation with an Emirates A-380 Aibus and against the backdrop of the cinematic scenery of Dubai and the building Burj Khalifa, the tallest in the world, and other visual landmarks in the city.

Vincent had already performed other notable achievements in skydiving, including incredible wing suite base jumps, jumping from one plane to another in mid-flight and flying past Heaven's Gate in the mountains of Hunan, China, wearing only his flight.

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Vincent Jeffet, pilot of the Jetman, this morning of 17 November in an accident during a training session, informed Abdula Binhabtoor, spokesman for the Jetman Dubai team.

The spokesman added that Vincent was a talented and beloved athlete on the team.

Vincent was 36 years old and the accident that caused his death is under investigation.

Regarding the technology of the famous wings that provided the spectacular images that traveled the world, it is known that they are made of carbon fiber and propelled by four small jet engines. It was able to take off directly from the ground and could reach almost 400 km / h.

The Jetman Dubai team was also made up of pilots Fred Fugen, French, and Ahmed Alshehhi, from the Emirates.
