Embraer is working on a new aircraft project with intelligence for control on land, in flight and even at sea. The plane was initially shown at the Paris Air Show in 2019, at the C2ISR event, which is aimed only at experts in the field of intelligence. The aircraft was initially shown as P600 AEW, and is based on the Prateor 600 platform.
At the time, it was believed that the product was a new production after the agreement with Boeing was consolidated. After Boeing gave up on the joint venture, Embraer started to work very discreetly on this plane and shows evolution now, since the name P600 AEW was changed to P600 AEW

Images confirm the development of the project, which has a lot of embedded electronics, including a complete radar system with multiple jobs. This system will be assembled with its antenna under the plane's fuselage. The aircraft also has several sensors for surveillance, information and intelligence.
Israeli company Elta Systems will supply all of the electronics and Embraer will provide the platform, ground and communications systems and aircraft integration.
The plane will feature the ELM 2096 radar, which uses gallium nitride superconductors, thus being able to operate at higher voltages, offering reduced energy consumption and lower working temperatures. The technology, after all, still promotes the integration between memory, processing and communication in a single device.
The radar is still long-range (about 460 km), with transmission and reception of 240 °, 120 ° for each side, which would be an advantage in aerial and maritime surveillance. The system also counts with IFF (identification system of friendly and enemy aircraft).

Also according to the manufacturer, the aircraft will be able to perform various missions, such as air defense, early warning, airspace command and control, combat fleet efficiency, territorial defense and maritime surveillance. The aircraft must also have a system for detecting potential threats, activating any necessary electronic support measures, using the SPS self-protection system.
Even though it is an aircraft derived from a compact platform, it is believed that it should have general capacities close to those of medium-sized planes, since the cutting-edge technology employed allowed the miniaturization of systems.
