The Indian company Spicejet had the operation of its flight SG-8152 delayed by 6 hours due to a ticket with a bomb threat that was found shortly after landing in Assam (India).

The Boeing 737-900 ER aircraft was due to depart for Guwahati 30 minutes later, but the Indian Airport Authorities found a ticket with a message written under one of the seats at the rear of the aircraft. The note contained a bomb threat.

The plane was taken away from the passenger terminal and was isolated as a precaution. Passengers were taken out of the plane and taken to a safe place and remained unable to leave the airport until the inspection was over.

The bomb squad checked the entire aircraft, inside and out. No explosive devices were found.

To date, no suspect of leaving the ticket has been identified. There are suspicions that the fact may have some political connection, since the elections in Assam are close.
