Although hybrid propulsion has been studied in partnership with the FAB, conventional propulsion is preferred due to the maturity of alternative technologies, according to Gomes Neto. This contradicts the idea of "u200b"u200bthe hybrid propulsion shown by some concepts from Embraer.
The new turboprop has not yet been given for the first test flight or launch, but it should focus on the 70 to 100 seat market.
The turboprop aircraft market is relatively large and draws attention to Embraer.

On social networks, Embraer showed images of a passenger turboprop and invited Internet users to listen to the Air Fianance podcast. The plane has 21 windows, size very similar to the ATR72, with low wing and T-tail, format used in Brasilia.
A new airplane in this category needs to offer performance and efficiency, in order to convince companies to exchange their old planes for this one, which received the project name Brasilhão.
“We are planning a large turboprop, bigger than any other product currently available. We are talking about a capacity between 70 and 100 seats. It will be significantly more economical. We think of operating costs between 15% and 20% lower compared to the aircraft that is a reference in the market today ”, said the VP of marketing for Embraer.
The project demands a high cost, as it focuses on efficiency in a serious way, so it should not be ready until the end of this decade.
