Trying to reestablish international long-haul flights, the Dutch company received Boeing 777-300 aircraft that were already on the contract between these companies. This plane is the largest twin-engine jet in operation in the world. In the configuration used by KLM, they can carry up to 408 passengers.

Now the company has 31 Boeing 777s, adding the 777-300 and 777-200 models. Thus, international flights interrupted by the coronavirus pandemic, which even delayed delivery of the two jets because of low demand, will resume in the European summer, which begins in June. The company already plans to even expand its flights, now that Europe has already started vaccinating, albeit in slow steps.
Another KLM jet model, the Boeing 737-700, was recently replaced by the Embraer E195 E2, which plays an important role in post-pandemic recovery. KLM would already replace this model with the larger 737-800. The coronavirus changed plans, so that now the Embraer jet will take the place of the 737-700, and may even fit on several routes.
