After problems with the Airbus A220, Pratt and Whitney issued an Airworthiness Directive restricting the operation of the PW1900G engines, which equip the Embraer E195 E2. On March 24, ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency) published a review requesting an update of the software for these engines.
In the case of the PW1500, which equips the A220, the problem caused disks in the engine's compression section to rupture and ejected fragments of parts with high energy (speed) which poses risks to the plane.

The software update for the A220 was similar, solved the problem and did not require any kind of physical modification.
In July 2020, ANAC advised the pilot to limit the N1 (indicator that measures fan speed) to 96%, or a power generation above 93% of the capacity above 33,000 feet to avoid problems, while the definitive solution did not occur.
Now, ANAC requires the software update in up to 12 months of the electronic engine control software (Eletronic Engine Control - EEC) so that there is no longer this limitation.
