With the success of vaccination in the United Arab Emirates, more than 8 million vaccines have already been administered against covid-19. Thus, more than half of the population is already protected.

More than 35,000 Emirates employees have already received the vaccine at one of the company's vaccination centers. More than 85% of pilots and crew received two doses of the vaccine.

A special flight, the EK2021, will take place on April 10 to celebrate success. This flight will carry only crew members and passengers who are already fully vaccinated. The flight will depart from Dubai International Airport, cross several routes in the United Arab Emirates and return to the same airport.

According to the company, in addition to celebrating the success of vaccinations in the United Arab Emirates, the flight also marks the vaccination success of the entire team, including pilots and crew.

Passengers on the EK2021 will still travel on the newest A380 aircraft, which feature the new Premium Economy seats and renovated interiors in all classes. In addition to vaccine security and in-flight security, there is the biometric and contactless technology that Emirates has recently deployed in the check-in and boarding gate areas.

Tickets for flight EK2021 can be purchased by citizens of the United Arab Emirates who took their second dose of the vaccine two weeks or more ago. Passengers must carry out a quick covid-19 test free of charge before boarding, they must follow all safety protocols, such as practicing physical distance and wearing masks.
