The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) approved, on February 11, 2021, without restrictions, the commercial partnership agreement between Gol Linhas Aéreas and American Airlines. The agreement will provide passengers with access to the entire network of destinations in the USA and Brazil, as well as to other Latin American countries. The decision was definitively confirmed on March 5.

The codeshare options will also be increased (announced in 2019), especially via the FFP (Frequent-Flyer Program, in English) in the Smiles or AAdvantage relationship programs.
The agreement allows incentive actions with partner travel agencies, in order to maximize service to corporate clients, as well as joint participation in tourism events.
“GOL considers this approval an important step towards international recovery, bringing more products, services and innovation to the US-Brazil corridor and better connectivity and Customer experience in our main hubs”, says Randall Saenz Aguero, Director of Alliances, GOL's International Expansion and Distribution.
