Guillaume Faury, chief executive of Airbus, said last Tuesday (30) that the recovery in demand in Europe has been worrying so far. In contrast, the US market is showing a recovery.
The company also estimates that the aviation levels seen before the pandemic will be recovered in 2023. This recovery, however, will only be for medium-sized aircraft, as is the case with the A320 family.

The chief executive went further and said: “We think of the single-aisle business, narrowbody planes, it will probably be around 2023, and for widebody planes around 2024, 2025: We don't really know, there is more uncertainty about the speed and the strength with which international traffic will recover ”.
The CEO did not express concerns about corporate travel, as several companies are adopting the home office and videoconferences.
According to the European Air Traffic Control Agency (Eurocontrol), both passenger and cargo travel are gradually resuming, but that operations are still severely hampered by the pandemic.
According to the general director of Eurocontrol, Eamonn Brennan, as the vaccination progresses, the restrictions will become less severe and the market will recover.
