Flexcraft is a concept created by a Portuguese consortium with the support of Embraer, the consortium was led by the Sociedade de Engenharia e Transformacao, SA (SET.SA), brought together Embraer Portugal, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Almadesign, Instituto de Ciência and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering (INEGI) and was supported by Embraer SA (Brazil).

The modular aircraft consists of a main body with wings and a double tail. Below this body several different pods can be attached, which guarantee a quick reconfiguration of the aircraft. Various types of missions can be performed with this aircraft, from passenger transport to cargo transport.
