Although the cause of the incident is still unknown, there is a suspicion that the fire originated due to the battery of one of the cell phones, which may have suffered a short circuit.

The incident left no injuries and did not damage any aircraft.

The shipment would be taken from Hong Kong to Bangkok, Thailand. The cell phones were of the Y20 model, from the Chinese company Vivo.
