Etihad Airways, an airline of the United Arab Emirates, has removed the Airbus A380 entirely from its schedule, for all routes. The company already maintained the entire A380 fleet, which has 10 planes of the model, paralyzed since March, but now, in addition to no longer appearing in the reservation system on the company's website, the aircraft no longer appears on the presentation page company's fleet.

There is no A380 on the company's schedule, as far as it is possible to check: September 2021. The routes on which these aircraft operated now appear to be replaced by the Boeing 787-9 and 777-300ER models. Despite being an important change, this scenario is subject to change at any time.

Tony Douglas, CEO of Etihad Airways, said it has not yet been decided whether the A380 will be used by the company again, but he believes that this aircraft model will be retired, as will the 747s.

Air France has already retired all of its A380s, and Lufthansa intends to do the same.

Etihad is famous for offering luxurious experiences in the first class of the A380, with The Residence, a suite with a private bathroom and a double bed.
