With auction already carried out, court order cancels assignment of the terminal to the new operator

Manaus Airport was auctioned off on April 7 by Vinci Airports, however, on Tuesday, April 20, by decision of Humberto Martins, the STJ withdrew Eduardo Gomes International Airport (Manaus) from the concession auction held by the federal government .
In the North Block of the ANAC 1/2020 Auction, STJ maintained the Porto Velho (RO), Rio Branco (AC), Cruzeiro do Sul (AC), Tabatinga (AM), Tefé (AM) and Boa Vista (RR) terminals. These contracts are still valid.

Humberto Martins' decision contradicts his own initial position, since, on the eve of the auction, he suspended the TRF decision that excluded Manaus airport from the list of concessions.
According to information from the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo, the government is considering using the STF to suspend the measure.
“A new contract may generate even more losses to the Public Power, since the formalization of the contract and its execution, in theory, would not impact Infraero's right to renegotiate prices to maintain the economic-financial balance between the parties, since the maintenance of the economic and financial equation is inherent in administrative contracts ”, as explained in the document.
