The company Azul Linhas Aéreas assumed the position of leader in the Brazilian domestic air market during the first quarter of 2021. Against the pandemic and with the adjustment of the network, according to ANAC data, the company had an accumulated 37.89% market share in the first quarter of 2021.
Gol Linha Aéreas took 32.98% of the share, winning second place and losing the leadership it had maintained since 2013. The company also had changes in its network and routes canceled due to the pandemic.

Azul ended the year 2020 in third place, with 31.25% of the market share, just behind Latam Brasil, which reached 31.82%. The Latam Group, which includes the company Latam Brasil, is going through a severe financial crisis and is in the midst of the United States bankruptcy law process. The company had 28.02% of the market share, its worst market share since 2000.
