The AFA says that, since the beginning of the pandemic, it has adopted preventive measures against the covid.

The infected soldiers are being accompanied by the medical team and are away for the necessary time.

“In addition to the preventive measures against contagion and dissemination provided for in the contingency plan of the aeronautics command for covid-19, the AFA also implemented the guidelines from the health authorities, together with the health squad in Pirassununga”, according to the AFA .

The academy performs disinfection of the accommodation and RT-PCR tests in suspicious cases, in addition to monitoring by the medical team.

The AFA had already registered an outbreak in March last year. At that time, at least 95 soldiers were diagnosed with measles.

The city of Pirassununga saw a significant increase in cases and deaths from the coronavirus. The city has 78 thousand inhabitants, and, in early March, it registered 67 deaths from the coronavirus. On April 20, that number reached 166. The confirmed cases were 6429 on that date.
