As previously reported here on The Aviation Watch, LATAM Airlines said it would take all 10 of its units from the Airbus A350-900, in order to keep the fleet smaller, more homogeneous and more efficient.

The company's widebody planes will all be from Boeing. The focus will be on the 767, 777 and 787 models. In all, the company has operated 12 A350 jets since 2015, two of which had already been returned last year.

The decision, however, does not mean that all units will be returned immediately, but gradually over time. Meanwhile, most of them are still at Guarulhos, Belo Horizonte and São Carlos airports.

Another unit has just left the country. Tracking website data shows that the PR-XTH registration aircraft took off from Guarulhos to Lourdes-Tarbes airport, in France. In the coming days and weeks, we should see more planes leave Brazil.
