According to the company, it is expected that the action will impact government policies in the European Union and the world, enabling “sustainable aviation from an environmental and economic point of view” and guiding “the future investment of the airline industry” towards a sustainable performance.

The company intends that by 2030, 12.5% "u200b"u200bof all its daily flights will use sustainable fuel. In addition, the company is betting on new Boeings, as “Ryanair believes that the aviation industry should play a leading role in the fight against climate change and is committed to mitigating the impact of its business on the environment”, and believes that such measures will “significantly reduce both your carbon footprint and noise level over the next decade”.

The research will cover three main points: sustainable aviation fuels, development of low noise systems and propulsion systems with zero emission of polluting gases. According to the company, "this research aims to develop sustainable solutions for an industry that seeks to achieve a carbon neutral and profitable future with more ecological alternatives for its customers and the planet".
