Defense company L3Harris Technologies and Air Tractor partnered to produce the AT802U Sky Warden. The aircraft's platform is the Air Tractor AT-802U, an agricultural aircraft, but it is equipped with L3 military technologies that provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities (ISR). The plane is also equipped with other weapons, so it can be used in combat missions.
The engine chosen to equip this plane is the PT6A-65AG. With its 1295 hp, it is responsible for making the aircraft take off on small, 600 m runways. Its maximum takeoff weight is approximately 7300 kg. Its payload is 4 tons.

The plane is still prepared to receive cocoons with .50 GAU-19 / A or Dillon-Aero .50 guns, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles, M260 double rocket launchers, GBU-12 laser guided bombs, Raytheon multispectral sighting system MTS-A and other equipment that provide a multi-mission platform for the aircraft.
Since the design is simple, robust and inexpensive to maintain, the aircraft can also be used in other applications, such as fire fighter aircraft. This can still be done with a cruising speed of 166 knots (300 km / h).
