According to military expert Peter Suciu in a publication on a United States portal, the Russian bomber Tu-95MS, although old, surpasses the equivalent American models. The Russian has been in use for 60 years and is the only propeller bomber in operation in the world.
The North American model that could be considered equivalent to the TU-95 is the legendary Boeing B-52, in its various versions.
According to Suciu, the existing models of the Tu-95MS could not be modernized, which is why the Soviet Union restarted production of the aircraft in 1981, which gave the bomber more modern characteristics than the USAF B-52s, which passed by modernization processes. The Tu-95MS have received considerable improvements.
For this reason, and also because they are capable of being equipped with the new Kh-101 missiles, which can be redirected, these bombers are still so important elements of Russian air defense today.
