A fifth-generation Russian fighter, which will be a lighter counterpart to the Sukhoi Su-57 Felon, was introduced. However, details such as schedule and cost were not disclosed.

The jet will have exceptional maneuverability, vectored thrust, it will be fast (it can go beyond Mach 2), it will be stealth and the maximum takeoff weight will be 18 tons. The fighter can be manned, but it can also be operated remotely. The single engine will have a power-to-weight ratio of 1:1, which will give it the ability to climb almost vertically.

Russia announced a lighter jet than the Sukhoi Su-57 in 2017. In December 2020 it was said that Sukhoi was already working on such a plane. In the same month, a single-engine model airplane was spotted in a photo of Chemezov's desk. The jet in question is believed to be the one being developed today.

The concept of the plane should be very similar to the Lockheed-Martin F-35 Lightning II and the Shenyang FC-31 Gyrfalcon. The projection on the table looked like Boeing's X-32 project.
