Eve is an independent urban mobility company created by Embraer. The company announced today that it has received an order for 200 units of its new electric vertical take-off and landing vehicle. The order was placed by Halo, an air taxi company that operates in the US and UK. Aircraft deliveries are expected to begin in 2026.
The agreement says the two companies must work together to develop a new eVTOL operation in both the US and UK. The project also includes the development of urban air traffic management and new service and fleet offerings. The order represents one of the largest in the area of "u200b"u200burban mobility.

“This partnership is an important step for Eve to take its position as a global leader in the urban air mobility industry. We are ready to build the future of mobility with our partners in a collaborative way. Halo is aligned with our mission to create complete Urban Air Mobility solutions, and this order marks an important milestone for Eve in key markets. We are confident that this mutually beneficial relationship will have a positive impact for many future users and will allow both companies to grow their businesses exponentially,” said Andre Stein, President

The eVTOL segment still faces a great difficulty, which is to show its economic viability. In addition, it has to be safe, as it is the first case of an air transport vehicle that can be controlled autonomously.
“We believe Eve is designing an aircraft that is well prepared for initial certification and, in addition, has a proven track record of production,” said Kenneth C. Ricci, Director of Directional Aviation, an investment fund of which Halo is a part . "Our experience as operators has taught us that product support is absolutely vital to the overall success of new programs."
Eve's eVTOL made its first simulator flight in July 2020. The scale model also made its debut in October.
