The acquisition of the KC 390 has been revised downwards. The lieutenant was asked if the same would happen with the fighter. The answer was: “We bought the first batch, but our expectation is that it will be somewhere around 60 or 70 aircraft. This contract contemplates 36. Soon, it will be time to start talking about a second batch. With a country the size of Brazil, you can't talk about just 36 fighter aircraft.”
The expectation would be 60 to 70 units of the plane in total. As for the KC-390, between 13 and 16 aircraft should be acquired from Embraer. Budget restrictions do not allow the acquisition of the 28 units.
