The world's largest commercial aircraft, the Antonov An-225, flew for the first time after 10 months of standstill. The only existing copy in the world did not have the reason for its stop disclosed, but a 14-minute video was posted on youtube showing the giant's return.

Pilot Dmytro Antonov, a member of the family that controls the company, published the video in which the spectator boards the flight and follows the takeoff, a low-altitude flight over the airport and landing during an instrument approach test.

Check out the video posted today June 6 on the external link below.

“We were all waiting for this to happen, and now that day has arrived! The world's largest aircraft, the AN-225 MRIYA, has returned to the skies. We took a small flight with the plane. Ahead, the plane is waiting to work – and that means getting back to the sky! See how it went in the short video”, said Dmytro Antonov in the post.

The only example of the An-225 was produced in 1985 by the Soviet Union to carry the space shuttle Buran, however, other uses were given to the freighter over time. The aircraft's maximum takeoff weight is 640 tons and its payload capacity is 250 tons.
