Last Wednesday, June 2nd, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 777-300ER that was carrying out a cargo flight got stuck at the end of the runway after landing at Lagos Airport, in Nigeria. The flight originated in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The aircraft was not damaged and no one was injured.

The area of "u200b"u200brunway 18L was blocked by the stuck aircraft. According to Ethiopian Airlines, the plane was taxiing at the time it skidded. The landing gear held the aircraft to the ground when it left the runway and “fell” into the grass. The aircraft would have made a mistake when making the turn at the end of the runway to enter the taxiway.

At the time of the incident, weather conditions at the airport were normal, according to weather data.

The aircraft was withdrawn after three hours stuck, and on the same day returned to Addis Ababa without major problems.

The operation to collect the aircraft had ground support services and consisted of removing the earth from the area around the tires. Check the video that recorded the operation on the link below.
