Embraer recently announced a partnership and ordering of 200 eVTOLs. We brought the most complete news on the external link below.

Today, the 7th, the company once again announced an order for another 50 units of its eVTOL. The order comes in conjunction with the announcement of a partnership with Helisul Aviation, one of the largest helicopter operators in Latin America. The partnership will focus on a strategy to prepare the urban air mobility (UAM) ecosystem in Brazil.

In recent years, Eve, an independent Embraer company responsible for eVTOL, and Helisul have been creating solutions in urban mobility, taking advantage of the Brazilian air taxi infrastructure, one of the largest in the world.

Thus, the idea is that the eVTOL is an air taxi vehicle that uses this infrastructure and starts to be delivered in 2026.

“Disruptive urban air mobility solutions can bring the same kind of benefit that aviation has brought to longer trips, making them more affordable, giving urban passengers more options for commuting. Our partnership with Helisul allows us to innovate Brazil's already large air taxi infrastructure and prepare it for the future of air transport. Our team will provide comprehensive services, including urban air traffic management solutions, and will benefit from Helisul's unique expertise in this market,” said Andre Stein, President and CEO of Eve Urban Air Mobility.

Eve and Helisul plan to begin validating parameters that could be applied to eVTOL's future helicopter operations.

“This partnership with Eve is a reason for great satisfaction for Helisul. Eve manages to anticipate market needs and Helisul intends to follow in her footsteps side by side. With cities getting bigger and traffic more and more congested, our partnership to build smart solutions and practices for air mobility will improve the quality of life in big cities, reducing pollution and people's commute time, with an option door-to-door transport,” said Luis Carlos Munhoz da Rocha, Commercial Director of Helisul Aviation.

The eVTOL design, focused on human needs, is simple and intuitive, but very well thought out, as it has already been validated in a simulator in July 2020 and by the scale model in October 2020. The eVTOL project and the changes in UAM they intend to revolutionize the way urban mobility is seen.
