On Monday, June 7, Airbus released the data for orders and deliveries for the month of May. The report contains an adjustment to Lufthansa's order for the A350: an increase from 43 to 45 aircraft on order. In addition, of the five additional orders the company had placed in April, three were cancelled.
The manufacturer received two net orders, despite having reduced orders in the last month. The other order for a widebody was placed by the French Air Force, which ordered an A330 MRTT. This was the only order received this year by Airbus for widebody.
With these changes, Airbus totals 915 orders for the A350. In May, the manufacturer delivered a total of 50 aircraft and received 7 net orders. In total, 220 aircraft were delivered this year.
