During the pandemic, cargo aircraft are in the spotlight, and the current Boeing 777F has been very successful. In this sense, Airbus will officially launch the A350F, a long-range freighter version based on the A350-900.
The cargo market continues to expand, having shown good growth figures in recent months. Airbus has only a small share of that market, with the A330F as the only original factory freighter model. The model lagged well behind freighters like the Boeing 767-300F and 777F in sales.

Airbus has yet to confirm when the A350F project will be launched. There is no definition about the name and whether the model used as the base will actually be the A350-900, although it is speculated that this model is the best base option, but with the fuselage a little elongated.
According to Bloomberg, Airbus is already negotiating with potential companies to operate the new freighter, but emphasizes that the information is confidential and essential to allow the start of the program.
The new aircraft should arrive in a market that is almost a Boeing monopoly, but may be competitive with the American freighter. And now, what will Boeing's response be?
