A severe storm hit Ahmedabad airport and three IndiGo and two GoFirst aircraft collided with each other and with ground objects. The incident took place on Wednesday, 16.

The damage was done by unexpected strong wind. The aircraft were heavily damaged. In damage that doesn't reach the aircraft's primary structure, minor repairs can bring the aircraft back to health quickly, but when the damage is structural, the aircraft can be compromised on safety and have to stop flying until complex repairs are made.

Asked about the aircraft, IngiGo said the planes suffered minor non-structural damage that will require repair. GoFirst did not respond to this issue.

There have been different winds in India, so the westerly wind has blocked the advance of the monsoons in northwest India, causing strong winds and storms. People have been getting warnings about this so that the risk of victims will decrease.
