A new India-based airline, Prince Air, promises to innovate the way it flies. The idea is to offer a monthly subscription for unlimited travel. The focus of this type of service is the corporate market, which is on the rise in India.

The proposal includes a differentiated in-flight service and a fixed boarding gate, in addition to subscribers being able to arrive at the airport only half an hour before the flight. The main destinations will be Mumbai and Bangalore.

The subscription fee will start at US$747, a very affordable price considering that the subscriber has access to unlimited flights.

Sanket Raj Singh, founder of Prince Air, said: “We have already started pre-selling memberships and are making commitments from now on. If we have around ten thousand to twelve thousand members in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, we want to start operations. We can end up starting operations in about 6 to 8 months from now. (...) We signed up a few thousand members and we are also selling to companies, which will be our biggest buyers”. Singh also stated that if the company does well in India, it could expand service to the Middle East.

The planes used by the company will be the A320 and A321, with the interior entirely in Business Class, in standard 2-2.

Being completely “unlimited” is impossible, as getting tickets obviously depends on the availability of seats per flight, but the frequency of flights was not disclosed by Singh. The founder also did not explain how the company will make a profit.

However, the objective will be to attract executive aviation customers by offering a service with the same level of comfort, but cheaper.
