Ukraine Evaluates Buying Used or New F-16 Viper Fighters Offered by Lockheed Martin

During a military items exhibition event in Ukraine, Lockheed Martin offered the F-16 Block 70/72 to modernize the country's fleet.
Lockheed Martin can supply new fighters or supply used units that will be upgraded to meet the characteristics of Block 70/72.
Currently, Ukraine has as main aircraft in its fleet the Sukhoi Su-25, Sukhoi Su-27 and MiG-29 Fulcrum.

The F-16 is one of the most successful fourth generation fighters in the world, with around 3000 units operating in 25 countries and 4558 units produced, with five countries operating the most up-to-date version, the Block 70/72, which is produced. since 2019.
Lockheed Martin may face difficulties with the US government regarding this sale, as Ukraine is a longtime ally of Russia, which may also oppose this sale.
