VisionSafe's EVAS (Emergency Vision Assurance System) will be made available for the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 jets. The Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 executive jets may also receive the system. Embraer and VisionSafe announced the new feature on June 16th.

“This feature will enhance the safety of Embraer's Praetor executive jets,” said Marsha Woelber, Global Director of Customer Support, Executive Jets and After-Sales, Embraer Services

The new feature will be made available through a Supplemental Type Certification (STC) issued by VisionSafe Corporation. In 2020, a similar certification was issued by VisionSafe for the Legacy 600, Legacy 650 and Lineage 1000 executive jets. The system is also available as stand-alone equipment for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets.

EVAS works on cockpit smoke to provide a clear air space through which the pilot can see the flight instruments and through the front windshield to land the plane.

“Embraer's ongoing commitment to safety is reaffirmed with the announcement of this partnership with VisionSafe. Having EVAS available as a supplemental certification on Embraer's Praetor aircraft is a milestone for executive aviation,” said Chris Skurat, VisionSafe Executive Jets Sales Director.

“We are very excited to announce that EVAS is now available for all Embraer executive aircraft, offering customers the option of adding it to their jets as an aftermarket upgrade,” he adds.

The Praetor 500 and Praetor 600 jets are already the most technologically advanced, according to Embraer. Now the planes receive this addition to increase their safety even more.
