Tuesday (29) was the day that Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos made its first flight with passengers. The flight was made from Guarulhos International Airport and bound for Brasília on the Airbus A320. Guests, press and company employees were the only ones on board.
This flight marks the beginning of the company's operations, which will start its commercial flights on the 1st.
According to the company, to provide greater comfort to passengers, the plane was reconfigured from 180 seats to 162 seats in 27 rows. Due to the protocols against the coronavirus, the company did not offer on-board service, however, it claims that it is working to deliver the comfort promised to its customers.

During the flight, the company's president, Sidnei Piva, said that the company has international expansion plans. “It will be an international company, established in Europe, which will fly to Brazil in partnership with the Brazilian ITA”.
Unlike other companies in the area, which are charging for seat booking and baggage check, ITA promises that these services will always be free. "All benefits will be maintained. This is the Itapemirim process of flying", said the president.
On that first flight, the plane did not have the seats that it will definitely use. Other limitations, such as the lack of a mobile-optimized website and the lack of an app to check in online will be temporary and should be resolved soon.
However, the company's future is uncertain, since, on two occasions since the beginning of the year, the Group has promised that the company's first flight would already be out of court-supervised reorganization. The promises were not kept and the company continues to be followed by justice, a situation that has lasted since 2016.
