Wingo, in a private immunization initiative, buys covid vaccines for all its employees

The Colombian National Association of Entrepreneurs (ANDI) has a strategy called “Vaccine Companies”. Thus, Wingo, a low-cost airline headquartered in Bogotá, acquired vaccines manufactured in the SINOVAC laboratory against covid 19 for all its employees. The airline intends to immunize all its crew and other employees.
“People are at the heart of everything we do at Wingo, which is why the purchase of all vaccines to immunize our employees is a milestone, as we will further raise the standard of biosafety and protection on all our flights,” he said. Carolina Cortizo, General Director of Wingo.
The company will start the vaccination process on July 15th, in order to offer more security, not only to employees, but to all its customers as well.

“In this way, we became one of the first airlines in the region to purchase vaccines for our entire population, ensuring the acceleration of the protection process for our employees, in order to continue to restore confidence and peace of mind to our travelers and all those who wear the Wingo shirt every day,” he added.
“this is the most important solidarity action on the part of companies at a time when the country demands it the most. Self-care and vaccination are undoubtedly the main tools to promote alcohol reactivation, health and productivity in Colombia.” said Bruce Mac Master, president of ANDI.
The action comes as Colombia faces a high number of new cases per day and deaths, with a 7-day moving average of more than 31,000 new cases per day and 657 deaths, as of the date of this publication.
