There is a real possibility for the Indian airline Jet Airways to fly again. The Murai Lal Jalan-Kalrock consortium has already submitted a settlement plan to the National Copany Law Court (NCLT), which includes reclaiming previous slots. The process may have your approval soon and the airline will be able to fly.
However, the plan to recover slots may not be easy. Slots are of critical importance to airlines, and previous Jet Airways slots have been reallocated to other airlines.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), in testimony, told the NCLT that the airline cannot claim its previous slots. Slots must be won based on existing guidelines.
“We are not concerned with slots. We've already discussed this. During the covid times, the government of India increased many slots and even a lot of infrastructure development, especially in civil aviation, was done. We've already had preliminary discussions and we're sure we'll get the space we need,” Murari Lal Jalan said earlier in an interview.
However, the NCLT clarifies that "slots can only be assigned to an airline operating with a license and flights operating from a specific airport." Slot assignments are very dynamic and constantly changing. The process is quite complex and a single slot, therefore, could not be kept idle. Slots vacated by one airline would have to go to another airline in order to optimize airport capacity.
In addition, an airline that ceases to operate at an airport must immediately return all slots allocated to it and notify the coordinator if it will use them in the future.
As previous Jet Airways slots have already been relocated to other airlines, they cannot be taken out of those airlines, which will make life for Jet Airways much more difficult.
