On June 24, some photos of the Dassault Aviation flight test environment where an image of the Rafale fighter destined for the Greek air force appears for the first time.

The aircraft clicked on the photos is one of the first of an order for 18 jets placed by the Greek government. The order in question dates from January 18, 2021, but despite having been placed so recently, the aircraft are already being delivered to Greece.

The reason for this is the rush manifested by the Greek government to quickly receive the aircraft. to meet this demand, the first aircraft that will be delivered are used and had the French Air Force as their previous operator.

There will be a total of 12 used aircraft followed by another six new ones, which will complete the package of 18.

However the aircraft will not be transferred to Greece immediately. There is a need to train pilots and technical maintenance personnel. This will be done in France where the aircraft will stay until January 2022.

Only after this period with the flight and ground teams properly trained will the fleet continue flying for employment at its final destination.
