The Emirates airline was forced to cancel a flight with football team Arsenal after a number of positive tests for covid 19. The 484-seat Airbus A380 has the phrase “choose to vaccinate” written on the fuselage.
The plane, which was delivered to the company less than a year ago and is registered under the registration number A6_EVN, would fly on Thursday, 22/7. The plane arrived yesterday, 7/20, at London Stansted airport, after an almost 7-hour flight from Dubai.
Upon arriving at the airport, the team received news that members of the delegation had tested positive days ago, causing the flight to have to be cancelled. The team would head to Florida (USA), where they would play a game against Inter Milan on 7/25.

Arsenal ended up giving up on participating in the Florida Cup due to a “small number of positive cases”. In a note, the team says that the decision is based on the health and well-being of the players and staff on the team. All positive cases appear to be asymptomatic.
