The newcomer Desaer, which was founded in 2017, sought a partnership in Portugal, with the Center for Engineering and Development (Ceiia) to develop its low operating cost turboprop.

A prototype of the model is expected to be launched in 2023. The first aircraft should be ready in 2026. However, Desaer and Ceiia already have 12 orders in Brazil and Uruguay. The first order is from AGS Logística, which has a letter of intent for two units, but can be extended to five.

The plane will be a turboprop, with two engines that provide a range of 1600 km and a cruise speed of 430 km/h. The maximum takeoff weight (Mtow) exceeds 8500 kilograms. The aircraft's constructive characteristics will allow it to operate on unpaved runways.

The ATL-100 will have three models, one for up to 19 passengers (which can be converted into a freighter), a freighter with a capacity for three 160 m³ containers and a military one that can carry up to 12 people. In this way, the aircraft will compete directly with the Viking DHC-6, Let L-410 and Dornier 228.
