Azul's domestic traffic recovers 101% compared to the pre-pandemic period

In July, Azul recovered 101% of its domestic passenger traffic compared to the same month in 2019. In relation to domestic capacity, this recovery was 104%, giving the company an occupancy rate of 83%.
These indices are measured, respectively, in RPK (Revenue Passenger-Kilometers or Passenger-Kilometers Carried) and ASK (Available Seat-Kilometers or Seats-Kilometers Offered).
John Rodgerson, Azul CEO, states that “July traffic trends clearly indicate that demand is picking up at an accelerated pace in Brazil,” says Azul CEO John Rodgerson. vaccination and these traffic results, combined with recent positive trends in bookings, make us very optimistic for the coming months.”
