ANAC has its Civil Aviation Cyber Security Awareness Manual

ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil) launched the Awareness Manual on Cyber Security in Civil Aviation, through the BASeT Brazilian Aviation Security Team. The theme had already been discussed in a webinar made by the agency in June. The topic is relatively new in aviation, so it still needs understanding and understanding.

The manual aims to help organizations use online technologies safely. The text is easy to understand and disseminate to raise awareness of the importance of the security of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) assets.
The text emphasizes that the culture of security is important since cyber crimes aim to use company data illegally, causing damage to property or to the image of these organizations. Thus, the information contained in the manual should serve as a basis for risk assessment and to prevent these crimes. This assessment is already provided for in regulations such as the Brazilian Civil Aviation Regulation (RBAC) nº 107 for aerodrome operators and RBAC nº 108 for air operators.
The production of the text counted on ANAC servers, with the participation of employees of air operators, aerodrome operators and associations, technology companies and the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA).
