Parachuting event brings together athletes from all over the world in Barreirinhas

The Boogie dos Lençóis 2021 starts today, August 10th, one of the biggest Brazilian parachuting events. The sixth edition of the event takes place in Barreirinhas, Maranhão, and will end on the 23rd of this month, accounting for a total of 13 days of the event, with the presence of athletes from all over the world.
“It's been four months since the event had sold out”, says Hasley Juliano, organizer of the event. “We planned an even rounder event, all designed for the well-being of athletes and participants,” he adds.
“Boogie” is the name given to the parachuting meetings, which promote socialization among athletes from all over the world who gather to jump.
Duda Balthazar, jump instructor and Technical Responsible for the Activity (RTA), says that he was a businessman, but his life was transformed by the fact that I work as a double jump pilot and that now he lives only from skydiving. “I feel fulfilled in living moments with people. Moments ranging from fear to extreme happiness. I like to know that I am just an instrument that helps ordinary people to overcome their limits, their fears and discover that they are capable of doing wonderful things. Great pleasure to be there with them when they discover that the best things in life are on the other side of fear. This gave me new meaning”, he says.
Another jump instructor, Paulo Pires, says he has jumped in several different countries, but considers the area where the Boogie dos Lençóis takes place one of the most incredible locations in the world. The Lençóis Maranhenses Park guarantees the athlete a paradise view, from a completely new angle. “It's definitely unique in the world, there's nothing like it. I've been participating for three consecutive years and I intend to be in all editions. The anxiety is high; I can't wait to jump into this unbelievable place, with incredible friends and a wonderful structure that has been growing and improving every year”, he says.
Double jumps, those in which two people jump together on the same equipment, are the most recommended for beginners, as this way you can be accompanied by an instructor, who can guarantee the safety and tranquility necessary for the beginner to be able to enjoy your first jump.
In addition, the event also pleases the palates, as it will offer in this edition the cuisine of four famous restaurants: Relva, B. Burguer, Cozinha Farofa and Mangue. The Boogie dos Lençóis, in addition to the paradisiacal view and good cuisine, will also promote musical attractions on weekends.
