The Beriev Be-200 is a Russian amphibious firefighting aircraft that was sent on a mission to put out a forest fire in Turkey. The plane, operated by the Russian defense ministry, crashed with eight passengers on board during its landing on 14 August.

The plane, which crashed near the city of Adana, is regularly used to extinguish fires in foreign countries. This particular unit had five Russian military personnel and three Turkish representatives on board.

A commission from the Russian Ministry of Defense was sent to the scene of the accident to establish the causes of the tragedy. Both the Russian military and the Turkish occupiers, who informed the Russians of the locations of the fire, died in the task.

In the external link below you can see the plane's flight before the impact on the Turkish forest.
