Russian airline Azur Air was authorized to operate five weekly flights to Brazil starting in the coming weeks.
The flights will depart from four Russian cities to Rio de Janeiro: two flights a week from Moscow-Vnukovo to Galeão airport and one frequency from Ekaterinburg, Kazan and Saint Petersburg to the same destination.
Currently, to travel from Russia to Brazil, it is necessary to make a connection at a European airport, such as Frankfurt or Paris, which offer direct flights to São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.
The new flights of the Russian company are not yet included in the ANAC system.
