Yesterday, August 23, Alta (Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association), together with Idac (Dominican Civil Aviation Institute) and Asca (Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences), signed an agreement in which the three parties undertake to organize initiatives aimed at developing the air sector in the Latin American and Caribbean region.

Among these initiatives are the development and dissemination of educational programs, such as courses and the like, as well as the promotion of research and dissemination of information and statistics related to safety, in order to promote the sustainable development of aviation.

José Ricardo Botelho, executive director of Alta, said: “We are honored to welcome among our allies the Superior Academy of Aeronautical Sciences, a long-standing institution specializing in aeronautical training programs, and to continue strengthening ties with the Dominican Aviation Institute Civil in favor of the development of beneficial initiatives for civil aviation and its users”.

Román E. Caamaño, director of Idac, says that the agreement makes it possible to join forces in favor of a common objective, which is the development of programs aimed at professionalizing human resources in the region.

In addition, in order to develop the industry in the region, Alta members will receive special discounts on the programs and courses offered by Asca.
