With more than 9,000 take-offs and landings to 40 Brazilian destinations, Brasília Airport (BSB) carried a total of 934 thousand passengers in the month of July. Value is much above 2020 (267.7% higher), but still well below the 1.5 million seen before the pandemic, which represents a number around 37% lower.
International traffic, the most affected by the covid-19 pandemic, also improved, with 72 flights and more than 7,000 passengers. One of the reasons for the growth registered was the advance in the vaccination of the population and the airport workers themselves. The International Council of Airports came to internationally recognize Brasília Airport with the seal of good sanitary practices.
Brasília Airport is one of the largest connection centers in Brazil, with the most sought after destinations being São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, according to data from Inframerica.
