Anac data show recovery, but they are still 20% smaller than in the pre pandemic

On August 31, the National Civil Aviation Agency (Anac) released air transport data for the month of July. Despite the numbers showing a gradual recovery, all indicators were still below those registered before the pandemic, in 2019.
The demand for domestic flights was 23.6% lower compared to the same period in 2019, while the supply of domestic flights, 22.1% lower. The number of passengers transported in the domestic market also dropped in the same comparison, by 31.3%.
But the market that suffers most continues to be that of international flights, which had a drop in demand of 80.3%, while the drop in supply was 65.1%. Both drops are compared to the same period in 2019.
The companies' share in the domestic market was 33.5% for Gol, 32.7% for Azul and 33.2% for Latam.
