Announcing post pandemic resumption, Latam Brasil will have 82% of its total seats available in the month of September. The comparison is made taking into account the month of September 2019 – before the pandemic.

Compared to September 2020, when the pandemic was hitting the sector the most, the growth is more than double (220%), which represents a strong recovery trend.

“We are getting closer and closer to pre-pandemic levels on domestic flights and paying attention to the progress of the vaccination process against Covid-19. That is why, for example, we have just inaugurated our regular flight to Comandatuba and we have already surpassed the number of Brazilian airports that we served before the pandemic. And the recovery is no different at the international level. Although slower, we have already rapidly increased the offer for the coming months through the recent opening of borders for Brazilian tourists”, says Diogo Elias, Sales and Marketing director at LATAM Brasil.

The biggest growth of Latam will be in Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Amazonas. The company will carry out 466 daily flights in these locations and in others in Brazil. However, the international flights market is still very affected, as shown by the most recent data released by Anac.

In the case of international flights, Latam reported a 20% resumption of the total supply of seats compared to September 2019. The borders of some countries were reopened, causing Latam to resume flights to Santiago, Madrid, Frankfurt , Lisbon, Asuncion, Montevideo, Mexico City, Miami, New York, Buenos Aires, Cancun, Paris and Bogotá.
