Latam Brasil disclosed, in its data yesterday (9), that it is the leader of Brazilian companies in the domestic market. On the other hand, a small decrease in demand compared to July was registered.

Demand registered in August was 2.168 billion RPKs, compared to 2,245 RPKs in July, representing a decrease of 3.4%. The slightly lower numbers, but still encouraging, may be because of the better-than-expected July holiday season.

The traditional comparison made with the same month of 2019, before the pandemic, shows that Latam's domestic demand is at 76.4%.

International flights are also showing recovery, but much slower, as they are still suffering from the effects of the pandemic. Cargo operations continue well.

Summarizing this month's data from the main companies (Gol, Latam and Azul), the difference in relation to last month was that Gol dropped from first to third place.
