At the end of August, when TAP presented its half-yearly results, it was observed that the company had a reduction of 1,302 employees in this period.
The company states that “as of December 31, 2020 a total of 1,302 employees have left the company, which represents a 16% reduction in the workforce”.
As a result, personnel costs decreased by 8.6%, equivalent to 18.9 million euros, totaling 202.3 million euros spent on employees, which the company also claims to have weighed the “negotiation of agreements with unions through the which salary revisions were defined”.
In total, the company's costs were 760.5 million euros, with a reduction of 313.1 million euros, which corresponds to a 29.2% reduction compared to June 2020.
The company's biggest cost reductions were in traffic operating expenses, with a reduction of 43.7% (122.6 million euros), and in fuel costs, which fell by 40.4% (97.1 million euros). euros).
