Experiencing Emirates Gamechanger First Class cabins, as well as exploring the cabin or exploring the A380 Onboard Lounge can be possible without having to fork out the cost of the flight through virtual reality. Emirates is the first company to release an app for Oculus VR for this purpose.

“Check out the cabin around your seat from the comfort of your own home, with award-winning, industry-leading virtual reality (VR) experiences,” Emirates said in a statement.

The app can be obtained from the Emirates website, the airline's mobile app or the Oculus Store for Oculus Rift users. Everyone can use it, and the only requirement is that the user is connected to the internet.

“It's also particularly relevant now, as many people haven't traveled in a while due to the pandemic and are looking for inspiration, researching and rediscovering their flight options,” said Boutros Boutros, Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Branding, Emirates .

The application was created in partnership with the technology company Renacen. The company is still working on an updated version of the Premium Economy cabin and the latest Airbus A380 interiors.

The innovative company in the area of ""VR (Virtual Reality) plans, in the future, to launch a more complete tool, where customers can explore destinations, select the cabin and pay for their flights.

The Emirates app was named a finalist for the top 6 of the 5th International VR Awards 2021 in the VR Marketing of the year category.
